Question by Derek B: Can you crop the square surrounding of a circular picture?
I have a circular picture that I need to crop. When I insert the picture into Microsoft publisher, the square shaped white border of the picture cover everything that I also need to show. I need text to be right beside the circle, but the white border of the picture continues to cover the text. What can I do? Is there anyway to “cut off” the square-shaped white border around my circular picture? If so, how?

Using the edge finder of your photo editing program, select around the edges of the circle… careful to follow the circle exactly… then reverse the selection and crop/delete.

The only way to do that is to save it as a pdf or gif (layer). Jpg will produce a square border.
I think you want to let it ‘float’
