Question by Angie: Can little puppies drink cow milk?
I need to bottle feed 3 week old puppies, but I heard that I should only give them goat milk. Is that true or can I give them cow milk? Thanks!

No, this will give the pups diarrhea. Water is best for puppies after they are weaned.
Goats milk is better than cow’s milk, but you really need to go to a pet store and get puppy formula and bottles. Also, take the puppies to the vet an have them checked out. The vet can advise you on how to keep the puppies as healthy as possible.
No…dogs like the taste of cows milk but lack the ability to process it.
If you’re inheriting 3 week old puppies that their momma isn’t caring for, best to get proper advice from your vet and/or a reputable breeder in your region that would be willing to help you…even the SPCA would probably answer your questions and educate you to what they need……..all better options than strangers on the internet.
Good luck…it’s a labor of love and a very important job…sleep when they sleep!
What you NEED to give them is mash a couple of times a day and supplement it with puppy milk replacement formula. Not goats’ milk and certainly not cows milk.
