Question by doodscatz: can i make a beer can chicken in a turbo broiler?
I was thinking rather than putting it in a grill or an oven would it be possible to cook the beer can chicken inside the turbo broiler? Is it safe? coz turbo broiler are made of plexi glass and I’m in doubt that the can might explode or something?

  1. The can won’t explode because the beer can needs to be opened before cooking. Of course it will burst with heat if you attemped it while it was still sealed. But the beer can is completely pointless in a convection oven of that type, since the circulating air does a better job of quickly and evenly heating the meat than the beer can does. The beer can serves merely to help transfer heat to the inside of the bird cavity through steaming of the beer (half the can) in a conventional oven without a fan inside to circulate the hot air.
