Yes when the honey begins to weep it can cause numerous issues best to remove the hive after the bees have been relocated.
YES THEY CAN ,,,, BEES ARE VERY DESTRUCTIVE , AN INVADE ALMOST EVERY PART OF YOUR HOME.AND IF YOU GET TO CLOSE TO HIVE THEY ATTACK. ON THE COMMERCIAL MARKET THERE ARE WASP SPRAYS , BUT NO REAL BEE SPRAYS TO KILL THEM. HERES WHAT YOU DO. TAKE WD-40 , THE SPRAY,,AND AT NIGHT OR DUST WHEN THEY ARE ALL ASLEEP OR IN THE HIVE, SPRAY WD ALL OVER THE NEST OR HIVE. THIS WILL GIVE THE BEES AN OIL COAT ON THEIR WINGS AND KILL THEM. AFTER THAT PUT A FABRIC SOFTENER LIKE DOWNY OR WHATEVER BRAND IN AND AROUND WHERE THEY WERE NESTING ETC. THEY DON’T LIKE THE SMELL , AND WILL STAY AWAY.ALSO GOOD BEHIND SHUTTER AND SUCH TO KEEP THEM AWAY. IF THEY ARE NOT IN AN AREA THAT YOU ARE CONCERNED WITH , LET THEM BE. WE NEED THIS PRECIOUS INSECT FOR POLLINATION. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Yes the wax and honey can stain the wall.
Try checking your phonebook for a beekeeper or someone who deals in removing them. Some keepers do it for free
