Bob Marley’s Family Sustainable, Organic Coffee Farm

Ital = Organic Bob Marley always said he would return to farming one day. With Marley Coffee, Bob’s son Rohan fulfills the dream. Welcome to Jamaica, where the family’s coffee estate sits nestled in the Blue Mountains. This sustainable and organic farm provides some of the world’s most desirable coffee beans. The company sources from Africa, Central America and other top coffee-growing regions worldwide as well. “I’m a Rastafarian. I don’t eat chemicals.” says Rohan He speaks here about how he transformed this conventional coffee farm land to organic, convincing local farmers going back generations to stop using chemicals. “It’s not about the yields- it’s about your life.” “Ital” is a Rastafarian word originally stemming from the English “vital”. The general principle is that food should be natural, pure, and from the earth. Rastas therefore often avoid food which is chemically modified or contains artificial additives. In strict interpretations, foods that have been produced using pesticides and fertilizers are not considered ital. -Bibi Farber uploaded by NextWorld TV For more info, see www.marleycoffee.com
