  1. Sure no prob.
Keep them high up like on a flat roof. Bees usually are more inclined to fly at the level of when they left the hive. So no problem with bees flying into people. Try to make sure there is always a queen present or bees get quite stingy. Check vigorously for swarming so you don’t have a swarm where there are people around. Otherwise no problem. Plenty of flowers are usually all around any given area, even in City’s. But know what you are doing first before getting bees 🙂

  8. I happily stumbled onto your videos & <3 THEM!! I have a question in this one "Beekeeping equipment and tools for beginners!" you talk about a good hive to get but I could not figure out what type/name it is..... I like many on here are looking at becoming bee keepers but doing research first. Like you I don't plan on selling the honey once I start with bee keeping but I am interested in the different types of hives. Could you please respond with the type of hive you talked about thanks. 🙂

  10. No I would keep them all in Nature, as they do a lot of good. Everything is in a balance or should be.Did you some how get the impression I said in this video we need to be rid of them. :) The only thing is honey bees tend to do a better job of pollination because they have lots of numbers. But the others are great to and an important part of nature 🙂
    Cheers David.

  11. does black bees/carpenter/monster bees help in the pollination process of plants? are they harmful? is there good enough reason to get rid of them for some people who get scared of them? is killing them with pesticides the best way? are we not contributing to pollution by using pesticides to get rid of them? are these kind of bees not part of nature? i guess they shouldnt be disturbed at all since i have read info that they are harmless. mornings ago i found them hovering over kamias flowers

  13. Consider this first. If beekeepers would not keep bees then they would be fine. But we do and now they are dying because of a parasites ( Varoa mite), that we are largely responsible for. If I did not give them a natural treatment for this they would die. Also personally I don’t sell honey but continue to make more bees. I do sell the bees, so others can take up this really important hobby. The money I make does not cover the cost of keeping them. But remember we are nature too.

  16. Wow sorry I did not see your message. Someone marked it as spam. Some of what you are saying is kinda true. But beekeepers love their bees and lots of them never feed sugar unless it is a total emergency. There is a lot of breeding going on, but I for one do not support it. But then most of the pure strain wild bees are already gone. Having said that they are not weaker for it. At least the Irish strain is quite pure still. Most are black bees with the occasional annoying Buckfast:)
