I’m glad it was informative. Thanks for the feedback.
Is that an invite for all and can we taste your honey to. Careful how you answer that one as my wife an American and we might just take you up on any offers next time we wrest there.
I’m not familiar with that one. I suggest that you go the library and check out a few. Pick the one you like best. I like “Beekeeping for Dummies” by Howland Blackiston and “Beekeeping Principles” by James E. Tew.
Woooo hooooo! International stardom! I should have thought about this before I started posting, now I’ll have the paparazzi harrassing me next time I visit across the pond.
The table was a good idea, I’m always putting tools down and losing them so I expect I will be doing the same with tools come June when I get my first hive and bees.
It’s good to hear that you will be making more video journals this season as it appears you have inspired a lot of people including myself. what’s it like to have international fame. You have at least two fans here in the UK.
Great video Ed! I am really looking forward to watching your successes this summer. Please post when you can, it’s so interesting and you do a really great job documenting and teaching.
Love your videos! Thinking of starting next year, so it gives me a lot of time to learn and to buy a few hives. I was also wondering what books are best. I have heard the the “Beekeeper’s Bible” is pretty good too and it has good reviews, are you familiar with it?
Mostly books. I lean heavily on “Beekeeping for Dummies” by Howland Blackiston and then “Beekeeping Principles” by James E. Tew. This year I joined my county beekeeping association and hope to meet up with other more experienced beekeepers.
Good to see you back I’m also looking forward to watching your videos for this season. With the stand that you made, if you had not of fitted the board could you have rested your frames there during inspection. I found some plans online for a triple hive stand for a British national hive which allows you to do this. Anyway hoping you have a great season.
Looking forward to your second season of bee keeping. I really have enjoyed your videos, and the just plain honesty of your presentations. Keep them coming.
I’m glad it was informative. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! That’s a great idea and frankly I hadn’t thought of it. My idea was to have a table upon which to keep tools during inspections.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I enjoy making them. I won’t make as many as last year, but I will keep posting occasionally.
