Here is my little video showing my aquaponics and hydroponics setups. I will eventually be moving to a house and starting a huge backyard tilapia aquaponics …

The hydroponic plants look like shit. The aquaponic is looking great
though. Keep up the good work.
@jessicakscott sorry.. and also added ammonia to the water. Once the
ammonia was there, the bacteria colonies started to form. Now here is where
I did things a bit wierd… I SHOULD have waited a month before adding
fish…but I was too impatient as usual (hence why Im doing this in my
apartment when Im getting a house soon anyways lol) and I bought 30 little
feeder gold fish on like day 6 lol. No bacteria colonies formed. But
everything worked! I want to upload a new video to show growth too
@bushiyo2 …. my patio doesnt get sunlight. At all. This is just done as a
hobby. If you read my description, you would see that this is just practice
for when we get our new house in october and we will then have a
greenhouse. With the high amount of fun and learning i have gotten from
this system, i would say not a waste at all.
haha yeah I have no backup whatsoever. Its ok though because the water is
so pure and balanced that I can shut the entire system down for about a
week and the plants are ok, and the fish will survive (and be healthy) for
about 3 weeks with the system shut off, as long as i throw a slow release
feeding cube in there for them. If I put a few cubes in there, the fish
will survive about 2 months. They are amazingly resilient.
Thank you for your movie. Also, I have some tactics to grows up to 10 times
the plants, by 50 % time, with healthier plants, while the “fish” carry out
all the work…” Look at here to find out more: aquaponics-pro.help1.info
I’m sorry bro, I don’t understand why you would grow anything but weed in
your house. Other than easy to grow house plants.

lol I have a lot of fun with this stuff though so I wouldn’t consider it a
waste. I can’t do it for a living because I have too many other hobbies
that I want to do for a living too! (unfortunately im in the Army full time
and that takes all my time for now). Thanks though!
I also have an apartment grow, same size closet but way smaller setup. I
have a stealth box set up with a drip/dwc system and the reservoir is only
about 1 gallon. I’m not really looking to expand anything so I was
wondering if you know if its ok to put fish into the reservoir with the
pump and airstone? or is there a reason to seperate it?
Sorry I havent been answering the comments on any of my videos! I moved to
another apartment and had to take everything down and threw all the fish in
one huge tank without any aquaponics yet. I plan on using my new garage
closet as my next project though and will upload videos whenever I build it!
Very. Nice. Now grow some. Balls and plant something. Worth more. Then a
few peppers. And dead tomatoes. Looks. Cool. I wish. I could. Invest in
that. Type. Of operation shit i think. I will 🙂
lol thanks I guess. This was just a trial run to see how the setup would
work. I have big plans for when I get a house (if that happens lol). And
why does everyone think the tomatoes are dead?!? I get a lot of comments
about that. The tomato plant was the best one in there in the end. It was 9
feet tall when I took this setup down lol.
Actually the lighting kinda makes things look a little off but that hydro
tomato plant ended up being 9 feet long when we pulled it out! It was like
a tree lol. We never flowered it though, it was just Veg’ed as an
experiment to see how big it would get. Then we were moving so we had to
throw it out. This really was just for fun. Its a fun hobby.
Thank you! I had a great time doing this setup. I will keep your
recommendation in mind when I move and get set back up again. I’ve been in
an apartment that doesn’t allow this sort of thing 🙁

I took the setup down but kept the fish. I still have them today and they
are about 5 inches long now! I love them.
