Question by goatface10017: Anyone know of any restrictions regarding the ownership of goats?
I am interested in purchasing a few goats and I was wondering if anyone could, or if you need a permit or something. Ever since that Geico commercial, I have been fascinated with them. I find them very cute and strangely have a urge to… well, let’s just stop there. Any advice would be gre-e-e-e-e-atly appreciated.

  1. they are considered a farm animal so they are not allowed in most cities/towns. if you live in the country anyone can have one. They require daily care so be sure that you are ready to invest time into them. They will need to be fed hay, grain, water, if lactating they will need to be milked twice a day. Males are really smelly, they pee on themselves.
