Mohammad Forhad Nijmawana, Gazipur Mohammad Forhad tries his at cattle farming while his son practices the Bengali alphabet After viewing the content on the tablet, Mohammad Forhad decided to supplement his income by cattle farming. In addition he has used the cattle waste to make organic fertilizer for his crops. His small son also uses the tablet to practice writing his letters. The Forhad household are participants in the four month long “Digits to All” pilot project funded by Amadeyr Cloud Limited. The focus of the pilot is to disseminate information using technology. Using a simple touch screen tablet, households can learn about: health issues; education; agriculture (also poultry/ fish/cattle farming); and general information such as government services/their rights/ and small enterprise development. The majority of the information on the tablet is in audio/visual form so that semi literate and illiterate persons can easily understand the content.
