  1. Hi. Another excellent video. I have just planted my garlic – I would be
stoked if it comes out as good as yours. I have sent my seed order away and
have included several kinds of melon and seeing yours makes me glad I did!
I also took your advice and got some Cherokee Purple tomatoes. All I have
to do now is wait until spring! S :o)

  2. You can do nothing wrong! Those garlic look fine. Keep the biggest cloves
for next year’s crop. Best Wishes, Brendan.

  3. @jihadacadien Thanks! Oh ! Hey you know…. I used that ground up seaweed
as part of my soil amendment concoction when I transplanted those! 🙂 I
did that for all of my veggies. From that silly Stir Crazy video I did over
the winter. lol I guess I have to put that on my to do list over the
winter! Since I used other stuff too in the soil mx..like wormcastings..dry
molasses… I can’t say it was exactly from the seaweed, but I’m not
changing anything! lol but it had to have helped.

  4. @jwlrymkr Thank you! I get a kick out of something that I actually was able
to grow I guess. lol You’re sooo right…its amazing how much better it
tastes right from the garden. It has been SOoo many years (since I was a
kid at home) since I have tasted fresh veggies like this. Really what
amazes me.. is I have not had to use any pesticides at all. (well so far..
I really don’t want to unless absolutely necessary)

  5. @swsebrownsugar1888 It varies, depends on when I get out there.. morning..
afternooon..evening. Same with planting. I don’t plant by moon phases or
time of day. I think the only thing I’m careful of is not to put plants out
too early if they need to be hardened or or when its the heat of the summer
in the middle of the day. I just get out there when I can. 🙂

  7. Another quick thought: What will you do with so many cantaloupes. Do you
eat and share them all or do you have some kind of preserve recipe to make
them last through the winter? S :o)

  9. @imstillworkin last year I thought I would have to use netting to support
them, but I discovered (through laziness..llol) that I didn’t need to do
that. The vines are really strong.

  10. Certain smells just smell like summer, it is great to eat things from your
own garden, they are so much better!

  11. @gardeningkiwi Thank you! I wasn’t sure if maybe my garlic came out too
small, (I guess compared to the store). Ohh I can’t wait to see how your
garlic and tomatoes come out! I’m sure you’ll really enjoy those Cherokee
    purples!

  12. @gardeningkiwi I have been sharing them at work and my neighbors. Sharing
them is as much fun as eating them. 🙂 hmm..wonder what I can do to
preserve them. I think I can freeze some too. I shoudl try it. I am going
to try to mail a box to my family back in New England! lol These Chadwick
cherry tomatoes have been going NONSTOP for a MONTH!. Unbeliveable
production out of these. THey didn’t split on me like the sweet 100s did
last year. (I had such a hard time with those last year.)

  13. Thanks for the video. I wouldn’t have believed that cantaloupe would grow
on a trellis. Gotta get some of those seeds.

  14. Hi Petunia! Was that a purple petunia in your cantaloupe patch? It sounded
like the birdies wanted those cantaloupe seeds! Anyway, your garden beats
most I see on youtube. Totally productive and healthy. I like to see the
different varieties sliced up just like you’ve been doing. Thanks for
    sharing! Happy 4th!

  15. @SleestaksRule lol Hi! Yes! I do have petunias in my raised beds! lol I put
them in last year too. Thanks for the kind words. I think alot of people
have had either too much rain or not enough this year. Lol, my bird knows
when I get all excited. We’re enjoying the cantaloupe as I type! I saw I
think it was Bobby (mhpgardner) and stymie slice their veggies up and I too
like to see what it looks like. But sleestaksRULES on that hydroponics!
Lookin forward to your vids! Happy 4th!

  16. Wow! Both the tomatoes and cantaloupe look amazing. Whatever you’re putting
in your soil is definitely working 🙂 Love the trellis for the melons, glad
    it worked out so well.

  23. @baconsoda loll….Well…. I did have to pull up my spring brocolli and
brussel sprouts, they bolted….I just can’t plant that in the spring. I am
learning I can only do that in the fall. Fresh brocolli and brussel sprouts
    are SO good!
