Despite the worst summer weather locals can recall, the hoop house approaches peak harvest season in mid-August. I wished for the harrvest to begin, and I’m now praying for it to taper off. Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes. I’m seeing them in my sleep! Blight has been an increasing problem for melons, as it was last year. The vines are about dead. And, it has spread to the Armenian cukes, too. Tomatoes are affected but most plants are producing without problems. I will need to spray with my copper spray soon, though wedding preparations plus processing of harvests makes finding any time difficult. I’m writing this on August 30, and I feel like we are past the peak of harvests — though today I harvested about 20 pounds of Kellogg Breakfast tomatoes!
It is about time to start up the hoop house again. i hope you are doing videos again this season!
