Aways good to hear from you. I like your solar Hot water heater very clever.
Cool way to save big bucks and consume fewer resources. I’ll have to go back and rematch the making of this water heater. I’m gonna keep my eyes open for a broken water heater. I’ve been seeing people on craigs list asking for broken water heaters. I’ll bet this is why. Finally had a frost here in Louisiana. Time to start on projects I can do in my shop.
We’re collecting non-working UPSs (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) and BBSs (Battery Backup Systems). These have built-in inverters to convert the battery (DC) to usable household current (AC). Usually it’s the batteries that are messed up when they quit working and not the inverters. Just another idea. I would love to see you make vids on solar power. 🙂
I have a Harbor Freight solar panel kit, but never put it together. I’ve been pricing batteries at Sam’s. And I have to buy an invertor. One thing at a time. 🙂 Glad you’re watching. Wow! All the Solar Water Heater Vids. That’s beastly. Good for you!
Have you ever put together your own solar panels? I’ve watched alot of your DIY videos, including the entire bread box water heater series, but don’t remember seeing any solar panel vids.
