No Class at the moment, however for short talk or simple lecture base on my experience is not a problem.

Do you hold teaching classes on Aquaponics? Or perhaps public lecture / presentation on the subject? I can try to get an audience, mainly Permaculture enthusiasts in KL. THIS IS VERY INSPIRING!!!
Good day sir! I’m a student in Hawaii and I love your videos and your blog. If you don’t mind, can I download one of your videos and share your blog to my teacher and classmates. Just for educational purposes only! Thanks! please reply! 🙂

This shape is ideal, it more aerodynamic. If you look at aircraft wings this is the shape to produce more lift. So if you manage to get this shape made its much better. It still work on venturi effect, contour of the funnel make significant change to the strength of the suction created hence affect the time needed to create the siphon.

Thanks, for the comment. The design that I made already extremely reliable after tested for about 3 years. Adding a breather will surely further strengthen its reliability, because a normal straight stand pipe will work with breather, adding a breather to this is adding additional item to ensure its better, however its not necessary, and it actually defeat the original design of this siphon. But if its make it better for individual installation then its good.

Affnan you have really made a difference, and inspired me immensely. See below for an improvement on the siphon design that was inspired by you!! When I use this method and include a breather pipe to help stop the siphon, I have 100% reliability with any bed and pump size.
Thank you so much 😉

A design improvement: for the inlet of the siphon, instead of a reducer, I create a true waterfall-funnel – the cross section looks like an incomplete love heart. An internal lip dumps the overflowing water into the funnel which crashes together and siphons instantly, in around 300mls overflow! I make these out of soda bottle necks, cut at about 40mm, and then heat a ceramic plate – to make the plastic shrink and form and inner lip. Practice makes this easy and they come out just right! 25mm!
