  1. Chickens can be as cuddley as cats or dogs if you handle them daily and feed treats from your hand. Get them used to coming in the house with you to watch TV or the internet on your lap. I sat out in the yard often and my chickens would just hop up on my lap to nap or enjoy petting. The roos would fly onto my shoulders. They just liked being around me. Earning trust is big.

  9. @Nomoreidsleft They turn into soup. Generally they’re too tough for much else at that point. Either that or just keep them as pets, but soup’s the way to go.
