Question by Sergio: What type of insect bite is this?
Hello, yesterday I was in the basement, and when I came out, I had a ,what looks like, a bite mark. It looks like a wasp / yellow jacket sting. but today, I woke up, and it’s just completely red. I live in the NE region, where it gets cold for the winter. What type of bite could this be? Also, it was just a red dot and was a raised bump, but didn’t bleed.

  1. Well you probably would have felt a bee sting, especially a wasp. It could be an ant bite, because they tend to feel more like a sharp itch rather than a sting. It sounds more like the beginning of a rash from something that you are allergic too though. If it begins to swell, or if it spreads, I would go see a doctor.
