Question by Dee: Hi, I just turned thirteen and I was wondering how I could get experience in these jobs.?
When I grow up I either want to be a hairdresser, a cook, or a farmer that deals with dairy cows, goats, berries, vegetables, and an orchard.(A variety, yes I know.) I live in the country on a beef farm so I can’t do hands on, is there a way for me to get some experience to figure out which job I like best. Would you give me some links on each please? Thank you!

As far as hairdressing goes, your high school (and it sounds like you might be going in to high school in a couple of years) might have a vo-tech program that gives you training in hairdressing or perhaps cooking. Although at your age, your goals are likely to change. Go online and start checking out colleges just for the fun of it. Do the personality-career tests on college websites, and just be open to different possibilities, especially since there’s not much money in any of the fields you’re currently interested in.
