  5. Yea this looks like it will wear out and be noisy and produce low power, i have seen things like this before this is not a new concept. As with all inventions like this just go ahead and build a big one, run it for a year and collect the numbers and show us the results i have lots of respect for people that actually make something real that works.

  7. interesting design, but the concept at Mój wiatrak looks far superior, but it is a little hard to understand what they are doing from the video and the explanation is not in english.

  8. The last 17 seconds of this video makes the entire video worth watching…and the last 17 seconds worth rewatching and thinking about… very interesting point.

With this design the rpm is inversely related to the length of the blades. The wings act like scoops making this design only marginally different then a savonius.

With longer blades, a significant amount of energy will be lost to radially accelerating air inside the scoops to the end of the blades.

Further more significant amounts of energy will be lost with the constant changing of the pitch of each blade (open, close). the more massive in the blade, the more energy lost.

ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they are sealed underground.
SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since slow-moving.
DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.
MAY BE LOWER-COST since it may use timber and other cheaper things.
ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.
    NO FIRE since well-cooled.
HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

  21. Cool idea and I always enjoy looking at all the ideas out there. This one I think has too many moving parts. I develop a turbine system to last a 30 year lifespan. In that pursuit, I try very hard to limit vibration and wear, mainly by limiting the number of moving parts. A turbine turns an average 400 rpm and that’s a minute. Over the course of 30 years I am afraid that this would never go the distance making it prone to so much wear and prone to failure.
