  4. Try using Hygroton (sp) clay rocks. They’re great from seedling to flower. The keep the pH in range but offer no nutrition except what you put in to it. Be sure to keep the roots hidden from direct sunlight.

  6. YES it is possible to start all seeds directly from perlite
    99% of what i plant is from seeds. the price is right.
    one plant goes around $5.oo that is 3 or 4 packs of seeds.
    the seeds will last me 3 or 4 years,and i get a LOTof plants from each pack of seeds.

  11. can do, just made over a 22sq. ft unit
    4’wide x5′ long x9″ deep.i will plantbib lettuce,
    romaino lettuce,swiss chard,chives,spinachgrands rapids lettuce,black seeded simpson,bradley tmoato,
    super boy hybrid tomato, jelly bean beefmaster hybrid tomato about 150 plants.
    will post new video when all plants are big or in 30days or less

  12. Nice setup u should try making one on a bigger scale.. like with a 275gallon liquid container (pallet sized). I just picked up 2 of them for 40bucks a piece

  15. you have to buy plant food with every kind of hydroponic system, the whole point in hydroponics is that it uses a soilless mixture wich gives the plants roots more oxygen it also is a self watering unit which means your plants get the water and nutrients when they need them rather than when you water your plants. growing hydroponically will save you alot of time as well compared to soil grows and personally i find you get much better results when using a hydroponics syetem

  18. i use perlite so  i can ptant with seeds . and it is easy to transplant plants.i could use the other mediums. but .we pay less than $10.00 for the BIG bag [4 cubic feet ] of perlite.
