  1. Thanks for your comments. You will need 3 cups of pumpkin puree for this recipe, and you can certainly make your own from fresh pumpkin! The reason for 4 cups of sugar, is this recipe makes enough for 3 loaves of pumpkin bread. Feel free to reduce the amount of sugar by 1/2 cup to 1 cup for a less sweet version. Enjoy 🙂

    and how many pumpkins do you need for the ‘tinned’ version you’ve used, or what weight does that convert to? We don’t have tinned pumpkins over here.
