Question by LaFaye: How do I go about selling products from home?
I make a really nice hand-crafted goats milk soap & I would like to start selling it (instead of gifting). I’ve had a few people buy the soap after getting it as a gift, but I’d like something “more”. What are the best web sites for something like this?

Create your own website, Get a license for having your own business. Promote website and take it from there. That would be the best choice I think. If not, try ebay or craigslist. Those are very good places to start.

Uh, i would just like to suggest if you don’t want people always disturbing you because they want to buy some thing then consider renting a small place or even making a stand and then send out some flyers. So they would just come there. You can even create your own website (you can pick to pay or not, some websites are for free).Or you can try it on ebay, amazon.com and other sites.

i have never gone to schindler’s list, dave’s list, peter’s list, whatever his list is…
ebay always comes up if i google something i have, like a knife, perhaps, kabar no. 2345 (i made up that no.) and i want to know if it is a valuable antique. i don’t know what ebay’s fees are, but i think you may have the best luck there. check out the geezer’s list, too, if i could remember the name. it may be cheaper to list there.

“The 4-Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferris. It really will change everything for you.
