  10. Actually it’s more like…bee throw-up…yes…bee barf…They take the pollen…I think from flowers and then mix it with their stomach juices and then go back to the hive and barf it up into the honey comb for the baby bees other bees to eat later when they’re hungry…because some of the bees never leave the hive.

It’s kinda like what birds do for their babies, only bees store lots of it up and not just go to get it when their young are hungry.

  13. Honey is made from nectar and produced by the bees. Nectar turns into honey in their stomachs and then bees throw it up. (yes its true!) Honey is bees’ food. This is quoted from Wikipedia:

“Honey is laid down by bees as a food source. In cold weather or when food sources are scarce, bees use their stored honey as their source of energy.”

“The worker bees raise larvae and collect the nectar that will become honey in the hive. They go out, collect the sugar-rich flower nectar and return to the hive.

“As they leave the flower, bees release Nasonov pheromones. These enable other bees to find their way to the site by smell. Honeybees also release Nasonov pheromones at the entrance to the hive, which enables returning bees to return to the proper hive.”

” In the hive the bees use their “honey stomachs” to ingest and regurgitate the nectar a number of times until it is partially digested[11]. It is then stored in the honeycomb.”

“Bees play an important role in pollinating flowering plants, and are the major type of pollinators in ecosystems that contain flowering plants. “

  15. No no its a half truth, its more like its thrown up, the thing is with honey due to its high sugar content, it kills a lot of germs and stuff through osmosis.
