  1. How recently? An hour, a few hours or a few days? If it’s an hour or a few hours, try applying ice and take an antihistamine containing allergy medication like benedryl. Apply the ice in 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off.

If it’s been a few days and it suddenly swelled up or is staying swollen, you might need to see a doctor. Bug bites get infected pretty easily and a bee is a bug.

  2. If itching or hives is the only symptom, an oral antihistamine (e.g. Benadryl) may be all that is required, although seeking emergency medical attention is still advised if you suspect that you have a bee allergy. If symptoms worsen or swelling of the skin affects the ability to breathe, then an injection called epinephrine will be required.

  3. Bee stings can be extremely painful For Individuals who have very sensitive skin, they are even more susceptible to a bee attack. The best advice that can be given for a bee sting is to always remove the stinger as soon as you got stung.

    10. Put some ice or cool water to the wound for about 10 – 30 minutes to lessen inflammation caused from the body’s immune system’s responses.
    11. Use topical hydrocortisone to provide comfort from itching and rash. Aspirins like ibuprofen and acetaminophen can also relieve some of the pain.
    12. Take some lavender oil and put one drop to the bee sting without spreading it across to the large section of skin around the wound. This will relief the pain quickly.
