Question by cherkaras: Can anyone tell about the country cameroon, and what about Indians and their family life? and security etc?
My friend and Indian want to go Cameroon with family and they will stay there for 3 years. What about the security in the capital, and how many Indian families are there?

  1. Cameroon is in Africa. Everyone is African. There are unlikely to be an Indians. Everything below is taken from the Lonely Planet Guide book.

    Yaoundé
Once a sleepy colonial capital, Yaoundé is now a bustling urban centre of meandering streets and undulating hills, offering excellent museums and a cool climate. In the lively African quarters of Messa, Mokolo and Briqueterie you’ll find the best grilled chicken this side of the Côte d’Ivoire.

A few kilometres north of the city centre is the Benedictine Monastery’s Musée d’Art Cameroonais. Despite its small size, it has one of the best collections of Cameroonian art in the world, including masks, bowls and Bamoun bronze pipes. The monastery’s chapel is also beautifully decorated.

    Border Issues
The areas bordering the Central African Republic and Chad should be avoided due to banditry. Roads in the southwest of the country are subject to armed criminals, as are northern routes out of Yaoundé, Douala and Mt Cameroon. Seek local advice before travelling by road.

The border with the Republic of Congo is occasionally closed and overland journeys can be difficult at the best of times.

    Religion
    Christian, Muslim, traditional religions.

    Health concerns
    Cholera
    Diarrhoea
    Fungal infections
    Giardiasis
    Hepatitis
    Malaria
    Typhoid
    Yellow Fever
    Meningococcal Meningitis

Not a good place to be living in, IMO
