Question by Smιle B*tch :]: What can i feed to my skinny dog?
I have a chihuaha and he’s way too skinny and you could see his ribs. I barely got it and i don’t have dog food yet, so for now i’m feeding him chicken and cheerios lol. What else can i feed him to gain weight?

boiled chicken and rice. This is the best substitute for dog food you can give your dog. If he is eating all the time then he is fine. I would say my dog is under weight, but the vet says she’s good. you can feel her ribs and hip bones. If you can actually see his bones, yes he needs better nutrition, or if he’s eating fine, might need to go to a vet to be tested for internal parasites. They can take a lot of the nutrition a dog needs to survive on.
So get him a dog food with no corn in it, or feed him boiled chicken and rice. If he eats well, but does not gain weight, take him to a vet for testing.

Lamb flaps are good, and pork will put weight on, but remember he’s only tiny and will not eat a lot.
You could try feeding him “Puppy Milk” and baby cereal.Try raw chicken wings dogs usually love them.

Take him to see a Vet for a ‘wellness exam’ & have him checked for worms. Since you just got him you need to know if he is healthy & be sure to take the shot records with you so the Vet will know when the next series of vaccinations need to be done.
Cooking him up some chicken & rice. As a dog rescuer I have used it a lot & it helps bring a malnourished dog back on his feed & helps put on body weight.
