Question by Annomous: How do I get ride of the sores on the back of my hand?
On the back of both of my hands there is a sore exma, red and craking skin. This extends from the back of my thumb to the middle of my finger. I have tried everything to stop it fungus cream, paw paw cream, goats milk, some special sort of exma cream, I have tried to take baths instead of showers in case it is from hotness ect. Many of these things seem to improveit, I do what is recommended on each of the products ect, but there always comes a point where it stops healing and within a few days is really sore again. It is not fungus or bacteria because I tried to stop it, when I had colder baths it healed a little. I recently moved from out of town, where we were on tank water, to in town where the water has chlorine in it, I am thinking it is a reactions from that. The sores are really getting annoying since, particularly at night I have to put ice on them to stop them from itching sometimes

It is difficult to say without pictures, however, it sounds like it could be dermatitis. It may well be that you have problems with the water but you would likely have a reaction in more than one part of your body. Coconut oil can help if that is the problem, while frequent washing actually dries it out.
