A 10 gallon opaque Rubbermaid container with lid. You’ll also want a pitcher to carry water in, a drill to drill holes in your container, and a drip tray underneath, just in case you overwater.
You may also want rubber gloves, a gardening fork, and a trowel, to turn it all over each week. (If you’re not squeamish, no need for those things.)
I suggest googling “worm farm how” and see what you get for how to get started. It’s really quite easy, so easy classroms do it to show kids how worms do their work.
We gots a worm farm behind da barn whares all the poop go. Dats ma job of gettin the poop outta da barn. I love ma job cause I gets to drive the traktor. So you needs a barn an bout 5 cows, a traktor wid a pooperscooper on da front, a what ma daddy sez is a kol shovle to get the poop outta whar the traktor can no go, then you needs a pear of boots, anna fork for diggin the old poop where da worms live cause day don like new cow poop -jus the old but you gotta have da new poop cause it gonna get old when its old a nuff, an dis fork is a big one to — not like in da kitchin – cause shucks – you can’t dig much wid one of dem, an you kneed some old cans to, that’s so youz can seprate da boy worms from da girl worms, an you hav to have a picher of a boy worm an a girl worm soz you can see which one to put in da right can, well shucks i can tell you soz you don haf to get pichers, cause the girl worm has a pink bracelet round her left end an da boy worm has dis bracelet round his right end, an i think das all you gonna need
