Question by EnvyMe: Why do we celebrate thanksgiving with a Turkey?
and why don’t people buy a whole turkey any other days? (People always buy ground turkey, or other turkey meats but never a whole turkey)

  3. An easy to raise and relatively inexpensive meat large enough to feed a large number of people and fairly easy to fix – perfect for a holiday meal. Actually people do eat whole turkey for other meals and holidays such as Christmas. Makes a good meat for a buffet as well.
    My family probably cooks a turkey about 4 times a year.
