Question by UofT guy: Am I allowed to breed chickens in developed urban areas like Toronto??
I live in a semi-house with a garden and I just loveeeee chickens!!!

  1. Most likely not. Many bar yard animals are ban from the city limits. Call your local animal control and ask.

  2. Probably not. Check with the local city ordinances but in most urban areas this is not allowed.

    The city of Toronto does not list chickens as prohibited, but I would suggest sticking to hens only as your neighbors can complain about noise polution when a rooster crows.
