  1. i dont know but the water level is a basic plumbing feature, especially so in DWC setups, it merely shows the water level without interfering with the hydroponic action. as mentioned below, as long as the level is higher then the highest possible water point then you will be fine

  2. love my waterfarm one thing id suggest put a air flow valve between the pump and the air line that way if the power goes off water cant run down into the tube and pump. or be sure to keep the air pump above the bucket

  3. I just checked the pump.. says it only uses 3 Watts.. Holy Shit! I don’t recommend going out and buying 12 of these if you are going to switch to hydro.. Buy 1 or 2 if you want to test how good they work first, cause you can build your own buckets for way cheaper.. Keep it Green!

  5. thats not what i meant. the air pressures the reservoir and water rises due to the pressure. but that tube there might weaken the pressure. but now thinking about it, the pressure isnt strong enough to make water slowly burst out of the level tube.

  6. As long as the tube is higher than the water level it won’t overflow the tube. That’s why the tube is higher than the bucket lip.

  7. Good question.. I honestly don’t know why they put it there.. but I’m pretty sure you don’t need to plug it up.. Well, I assembled it and let it run for a few hours (didn’t plug the valve) and everything ran smooth.. I honestly haven’t put a plant in it yet though.. I assembled and did a video on it, and it’s been sitting there ever since lol. I think soil is more my style

  8. i dont get why they put the drain/level tube for. the bottom bucket, from what i understand, has to be air sealed. so… im guessing you gotta plug up the level tube every time?
