Gardening With Gandhi, January 21st. (Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

The Gandhi Garden is Designed by Members of Sage Coalition, Tools were provided by Isles, and funding for the Gandhi Garden is provided by the Trenton Downtown Association. This was the second of our monthly gatherings to build the Gandhi Garden. This one fell on Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 21st. Dr. King was highly influenced by the teachings of Gandhi, so we felt it was a perfect day to commemorate these visionaries with a day of service in the Gandhi Garden. Volunteers didn’t let the cold weather scare them. We built a living wall of tires, constructed planters and bird houses from pallets and more.
