Donna, when researching companion planting, I noticed that they advise NOT to plant beans with onions, garlic, or marigolds. Perhaps that’s why the beans didn’t grow well in that first box?

I followed your advice and used epsom salt on my tomato plants and their doing great. I have onions in my garden and their doing great they take a while to harvest they do good when you buy them in little packs of like 15 to 20.

The aloe plant has done great! However, we had a freeze last week and I lost some of the outer leaves. 🙁

Yes! They are short pop up heads. The beds always look a little dry on top, but is quite moist inside the beds. Thanks for watching!

I have got to learn more about companion planting. I think Basil is a wonderful plant! The two boxes which I planted basil kept the bugs away! Thanks for watching!

I had the same problem with my corn this year in South Florida. I found worms inside that were the size of my finger. Yuck!!! Haven’t had a problem since I squished them. Once the corn husks started growing the worms vanished.

Hmm maybe about the beans it does have to do with the plants that are near it. Do you expriment much with companion planting? For instance, bush beans don’t like to be near onions, fennel, and some other things, according to what i read. I haven’t tried square foot gardening, but yours is awesome. Now I plan on getting the book. This summer all I grew were some heirloom tomatoes (in the flower bed).Thanks so much for your videos.
