Dexter Cattle Resting at Cascade Meadows Farm in Oregon

Cascade Meadows Farm’s Naturally Polled (hornless) Dexter Cattle are calm and relaxed. They feel comfortable resting as we walk amongst them, and they even let us join them in a nap. These heritage cows are about 1/2 the size of the modern industrialized breeds of cattle. They’re easy to raise on grass and hay alone, and provide excellent meat and milk. They’re the perfect homestead cow. www.cascademeadowsfarm.com

  1. Dexters are incredibly hardy cattle. Our herd lives in all elements with trees for shade and windbreak. They calve easily with no help and rarely, if ever, get sick.
