Canned up some green beans today, here is the little video of it. …I made the video without the wife’s help, so it is all jittery. ____________________________________ The Recipe I used was this… 1/2 teaspoon salt for each pint jar Fill the jars with boiling water, leaving 1 inch of head space. At my altitude (~1000ft), I processed my jars for 20 minutes at 10lbs pressure. ____________________________________ The pressure canner I use is a All American Pressure Canner (Model 921) ____________________________________ Thanks for Watching!
I did not block you because of any reason, I must of accidently blocked you when I was blocking all of the other people with the comments below you.

You are very astute. that is why the title of the video is “Pressure Canning Green Beans” and not “how to cook green beans”

When you put up a video, feel free to make sure you turn the radio down.

High to start out, and then adjust it down to whatever works, usually half way between high and med.

Sorry I am a little late responding to this comment, but I see that in the 7 months since you left this shitty comment you have not put up any videos yourself.
So when you do your video on “how to can green beans” make sure you turn the music down.

This is a video about canning, not just cooking to eat immediately.

What temp do you have the canner on,, ( Hi, Med. or Low ) after you have the cans in it, and your waiting for it to vent, before you add the little round thing ?

Sure does, and most of them also have a little line inside of the canner, that tells you how much water to add.

Excellent video Nate. I can’t wait to grow some green beans and can them. I went from a Presto to an All American. I should have adjusted the heat to the same setting as I did with the Presto almost all but a 1/4 inch of water evaporated. One jar broke. .

Pressure cooking is the only approved method of canning low acid foods, I followed my university extensions guidelines for canning the green beans

why are you pressure canning your beans for 20 mins … when you can low boil them for 15 mins? without a pressure “COOKer” … in a pressure cooker … you should take them out at 3 mins

For freshest beans with nighest nutrient value, wait to snap the ends off until just before canning. Nice video, have one of those All Americans, an older one, getting a new weight for it, then ready to rock-n-roll canning away… I am currently canning with a Presto, but would am looking forward to switching to my AA!

@laidbackguy1972 Yeah, I wasnt picking them, luckly when my wife and mom went out gardening, they ended up snapping the hulls off the top, so it ended up being less work then the time I took this video, Thanks for Watching!
