7 minecraft days and a pain in your butt later and u find a village. i had a fail and found a village bout 200 blocks from my spawn and didnt kno it until bout an hour or two after i started up the world.

Watch out because monsters spawn a lot more when you are near a village because there werr like 5 creepers chasing me after I found a village

There is a glitch where you can see through the floor at around 11:00 and I think you can see a stronghold through the ground there if you pause at that instant…

dude, on low graphics youcan play a world pretty good after you explored most (because the terrain generation is what makes it laggy). Trust me, I got a Netbook (1 GB Ram, I cant run firefox and minecraft at the same time :D, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor. I bet your Laptop does better!

When you block, it doesn’t just stop attacks. It, I think, just halves most damage. Everything but fire and drowning, anyway.
