Question by Ansi C: Are chickens allowed in the backyard?
Is it allowed to keep a few in the backyard, as pets? We live in the city though. What are the rules?

  1. It depends on what city you live in. Check the zoning laws in your area. Some cities are allowing people to keep chickens due to the economy. Most cities will not allow roosters because they are noisy.

  2. Well i dont really think that the chickens will appreciate living in a city backyard. If you want chickens you should move out here, in the country. They need space and love to explore. i dont really think that they would appreciate all the noise of the car horns and people screaming. It might be legal though.

    hope that helped.
