Which would be easier to raise, ducks or chickens?

Question by viajante: Which would be easier to raise, ducks or chickens?
– I’ve read somewhere once that ducks are easier to raise but I’m wondering why are they not as popular as chickens..

  2. ive raised both and on my experience ducks are easier to raise because they dont runaway,as chikens are harder because they like to go into neighbors yards.both of them drop eggs duck eggs are alot better to eat then chicken,

  3. We have a beautiful lake where we free ranged ducks. They were very easy to raise but the coyotes got every duck over a period of 1 year. After that we went with chickens, free range, and got them up every night to keep them safe. They were a little bit more trouble but worked out a lot better for us.

  4. From my experience chickens are eaiser because with ducks you have to allways have a source of water for them to swim in and they need a whole lot of land to fly and waddle around. Chickens you just have to have a coop and get feed and water and plus they have an endless supply of eggs

  5. Ducks are not eaiser because ducks move around to much and can easily fly away unlike chickens yea they are noisy but ducks are louder and chickens cant fly like ducks
