  1. I Dairy farmed for 30 years and have always used extension service bulletins as guidelines on “how to`s”.Find people in your vicinity that already do it and visit them.

  2. I would recommend that you start raising only goats as you can get a higher price for their milk, while per pound of food used, they produce as much or more milk. Goats are a very good idea if you have a lot of forest land and not much open field as cows tend to eat grass while goats brush. Also, if you’re just starting out, goats are a whole heck of a lot easer to manage.
