Well, the reason behind that is that Bob Marley actually DID sing it! The song was originally recorded and written by American country artist Neil Diamond. UB40 then covered it and made it famous. THEN Bob Marley also covered it! So i’m guessing everyone you know is more familiar with the Bob Marley cover version! UB40’s was great though.Hope that helps, cheers.
