Add the bedding. I use paper from my office shredder. I personally use all kinds of paper and light cardboard, printed or not. It’s a good way to get rid of junk mail. If you don’t have a shredder, you can tear strips by hand.
The worms need something that can hold moisture, provide some air pockets, block the light, avoid flies and decompose along with the garbage.

Question by HICKORRY: Red worm bug in bed what is it?
I found a red worm like bug in my bed last night it was tiny but because I saw it moving I decided to see what it was.
It was very skinny and so tiny I don’t know if it had legs.
It’s body seem to get thinner towards one end.
It was 1mm wide if that, and 5mm long.
Any ideas as to what it is?

Better make sure it wasn’t a bed bug. Look at the seams in your mattress. Of course, if you ar absolutely positive it was a worm and not a bug, you have nothing to worry about. Sorry, I don’t of any worm that is that small.

At 5mm long it would have been a full grown bed bug and you would have been able to see its legs. So you can rule out bed bugs.
