Each Polytunnel hoop profile is made up of a number of pieces of high tensile steel tube galvanised inside and out for maximum corrosion resistance. For even more strength and stability, and improved anchorage, ‘swage joints’ are used to join the hoops together (a techie term meaning the tube end is reduced in diameter so tubes can be sleeved together quickly) then fixed together using self drill screws.
