I Live in PA, and i’m considering getting ducklings to raise. My only concern is that it gets cold in the winter and if i dont build them a warm/heated place to stay will they fly south? IF they do happen to fly south for the winter will they return to me in the summer again? i’ve heard they always return to the pond they were raised at. i just need some expert advice. Thanks

No. Domestic ducks do not migrate.

unless you pretend to be a momma bird and fly in an ultralight all the way south like in that one movie.

Domestic ducks don’t migrate. I suggest that you also check out some basic care of ducks and what you’ll need to keep them. You shouldn’t need to worry about heat in your area, but you will need a dry area for them to stay.

BTW – ducks are a blast. I’ve loved the ones I’ve had when I was younger. Just remember to provide a place for them to escape predators and to provide the necessary care for them and they will pretty much be much more trouble free than many other animals are.
