Feeding Goat Kids Video

www.virtualfarmtours.ca A Canadian dairy goat farmer explains how he feeds newborn kids (baby goats) on his farm. Transcript (dairy goat farm) David — My name’s David and I’m feeding a one day old baby. I’m feeding it milk replacer and the babies usually get milk from six to eight weeks old. And then they move on to water and on to pellets. Pellets, is a calf starter and they just get that for 12 weeks and then they move on from there. This is their favorite time of the day. They like this a lot because they know its coming. This is a bucket of milk replacer. The nipples are there for the babies to drink out of. The most easiest way for them to feed is using the nipples.

  2. I heard that you should never use milk replacer. Everybody! it is better to use cow milk than it is to use milk replacer.!
