Question by Sweetpea has two boys: Is anyone else out there as horrified by this as I am?

I mean, yes, children should be dressed in clean, well fitting clothes, but doesn’t this sound like a handbook to raising a nasty, self centered queen bee?
I thought that there was going to be some sort of “Be yourself” point at the end, there wasn’t.
Its not a joke. She has a channel full of this crap, including a 5 minute video of every item she got her kid for Christmas, and other equally materialistic garbage.

  2. That’s some fu**ed up stuff right there.

It should be called “How to enforce conformity and absence of individual personality on every young female you know”

    What a load of shite.

  4. I am hoping and praying that is a joke.

Tell me it is a joke.

    Right?

I think the actual title of this piece should be:

“How to raise a shallow child who will one day have an eating disorder and sleep with every guy on the football/basketball/baseball team, all to please mommy then go to college and sleep her way through a few semesters just to drop out and dance on a pole”

  6. That was crazy, just crazy. I couldn’t stand it long enough to see it through to the end so I don’t know if it was some kind of joke or not but what I did see of it makes me think that this must have been the advice of the same mom who pimps her daughter in little Miss beauty pageants.

  8. i wonder who she works for? her kids for sure. i feel very sorry for her and her children. What makes her think that all parents can afford to dress their children from those stores. nasty queen bee is correct. i would hate to have any of my friends kids or my grand kids be around here. amazing load of c**p. pimping her daughter out at such a young age. too bad too. and can you imagine the type of person who would marry such a little witch? NO ONE! and if they did, they would have to own a bank. shameful mother.

  9. This idea is very horrific and the fact that a mother did it is scary. But the reality is that people do judge by the cover and based on how you look on the outside is how your going to be treated. It only takes a few seconds for someone to make an impression of you. It’s harsh but it’s reality. And in school is where it all starts, kids are very judgmental and tease those who may look different. And like you mentioned, children should be dressed with clean fitting clothes that’s obvious but it’s not so that they can be popular. popularity comes from a persons personality and being involved in events like sports and such so they can meet lots of people.

  10. Ugh.
Our area’s full of these sorts.
Dunno if this one’s real, but I certainly know a lot of mums living vicariously through their daughters.

One more reason I’m glad my girls are home-schooled and free from the clique mentality. I’d rather (and I’m sure they’d rather) my girls be happy geeks playing in ponds and raising tadpoles, than miserable queen bee’s always paranoid about someone superseding them in popularity or fussing over whether her clothing is the right brand.

  12. I wish people who did any sort of advertising, even like this, would learn how to spell. It would make their ads more credible.

    This is really pathetic.

  13. Maybe, I’m wrong in this, but I don’t see anything wrong with a bunch of clothing suggestions. Good, kind people come in all packages; well dressed, or not.
It’s who your kids are morally that’s important. Dressing well doesn’t make you any better or worse, but it does help your confidence so you don’t feel stifled or ashamed. Schools have cliques like it or not, and they can be mean. I would love to give my kids every advantage over people who might be mean/judgemental toward them–so they have the confidence to feel like they can be themselves. It’s the kids who dress well to make themselves feel superior over others that are the problem. That’s my opinion, anyway.

  14. The internet is filled with narcissistic idiots uploading videos to YouTube.

No point in being horrified by superficiality. If you want to be horrified, there are a lot of relevant videos out there. Like this:
