  3. Boer goats are a very large, easy to care for breed and therefor make excellent meat goats. They do well in most climates (they just need shelter from cold/wet weather to avoid pnuemonia). They produce a great deal of milk and can therefor be used as milk goats however their short stature makes it difficult to get a bucket under them so a stand is necessary. Nubians are by far the best milk goat due to their gentle nature and long legs, but don’t carry much meat. All in all I’d say Boer, we raise them and they are excellent meat goats.
