  3. for a non native, she does make some very great frybread.
but there are many different varieties and many recipes.

she is very informative but just remember dont stretch the dough too thin, cause if you do. It will make a very hard tortilla. Plus, if your dough is still dry, add more water.

Eat the frybread with slow cooked beans, or have it as a dessert with powder sugar and honey or fruit preserve. ^_^y

  4. well, i wouldn’t eat next day frybread, when you fry flour with milk and baking powder, the gluten in the starch turns rather tough when exposed to air and makes it somewhat hard to eat. So, I would just make fresh frybread. Usually frybread will stay tasty for a few hours, but the longer its exposed to air the hard it will become. Plus, fry bread is supposed to be eaten either hot or warm, never at room temp.

  9. For some reason, when i added evrything and stirred the mix, it was too powdery.. And it would’nt turn to dough. Are you sure that you said the right amount of milk? Thanks for posting this recipe!

  17. Actually, I am frying it in Crisco. That’s my favorite solid vegetable shortning. It doesn’t burn like a lot of other shortnings.
