When Horn borrowed a microloan from MicroPlace, she was able to expand her innovatory in her small shop. As business grew, she gained the opportunity to create a silk weaving business as well as raising cows and pigs. The new livestock not only gives Horn’s children reliable nutrition on a daily basis, it allows her village to have access to fresh milk and meat. When Horn started her motorcycle repair business, it helped refuel the local village economy, providing jobs with solid incomes and greater opportunities for growth. With more financial stability in the community, Horn was able to provide an opportunity for education for her children, giving them the potential to climb out of poverty.
