Worm Farm Update

Update on the worm farm. Bought about a thousand worms and got them started a couple of weeks ago. Had a hiccup or two but doing fine.

  1. @TheT0tally Funny you should ask… All the worms died, I think it was a lack of food. I got busy with other stuff/life and while I thought I’d put enough food in there for a couple of weeks I guess I didn’t realize how many worms I had and how much they would eat. Anyway… Oops! The system works great. I think I’d put some rods through the buckets to support them at least the bottom bucket. Plenty of air, plenty of space. I think it would hold about 5 lbs of worms.

  2. How is your worm farm doing after months of operation? Are you still happy with your design? Does it get enough air? Did the bucket tutus work and continue to perform? Are your worms starting to reproduce yet? How many worms (# or lbs) can your 4 bucket system support? Thanks so much for your instructional videos and time.

  4. I’m new to ALL of this so sorry. What are the level of containers for? Is it so you can just grab the worms and not have to dig through the dirt or something? And what’s the spicket for?
