Question by Angel: How can I identify which beehive I have?
I have a beehive in the backyard on a tree. Which you can’t really see because it’s completely covered in bees. Is there a way to know which bee it is by this action? I don’t want to get any closer to it without knowing more.
Thank you.

  1. The most common bees are Three Banded Italians. There are others that are a little darker called Starlines. Also Midnights. If they have 3 yellow bands they are Italians. These are the best bees, all things considered: like honey gathering, hive protection aggressive defense of the hive. They are not aggressive towards people unless you threaten the hive in some way.
