Question by flying traveler: Is organic farming really THAT much more healthy?
According to the Wikipedia article on orgainc farming there isn’t much scientific evidence that it’s MUCH healthier.
Feel free to answer in the comment section below
With few exceptions, organic farming builds healthier soil, which is the foundation of life for future generations.
The matter that will form your great grandchildren’s bodies is in the soil. How much poison do you want to spray on it?

Yes it is very very much. My mom is a nutritionist. She has a disease called M.S. (multiple sclearosis). She started to eat healthy and her syptoms got better. Organic is absolutly no chemicals. If you eat things nonorganic (witch you can still eat.) it has chemicals that keep bugs off the plant. When you eat nonorganic your eatting chemicals. It doesnt matter if you wash it the chemicals are still there the plant soaks them in.

I would say it really depends on what you are eating. The definition of “organic” means different things to different people. Some would say that is is a crop produced with no synthetic material such as pesticides and fertilizer that is not mined. Others would claim that “organic ” crops can’t be fertilized with manurer from animals that eat non-organic feed, ect. The Organic seal that you see on food in the grocery store is a trademark of the USDA (United States department of agriculture). The appearance of the mark insures that the item fits the USDA’s definition of the term “organic.” As with any government policy, the definition is very lengthy and complicated. As far as being healthy, generally speaking, I don’t believe that anyone knows. Of course most non-organic crop is sprayed with some sort of pesticide at some point in its life, and most is fertilized with fertilizer that contains synthetic ingredients. Is this good? Probably not, but I wouldn’t go to the point of calling it unhealthy. People that talk of “all the chemicals” generally know nothing about production agriculture. Every product we apply to our crops has a label on every jug. This label directs the farmer on how to properly apply the product and prohibits using the product in a way that would could cause health risk to the consumer.

Organic is organic. It all comes from the Earth, right? They claim they use no chemicals, and charge you 2-3 times as much for the same product. It’s silly.

no it’s really no healthier, organic foods are just another way for producers to get you to buy things that are expensive

Yes, organic farming is much healthier because it is planted organically and there is no chemicals used inside it which can be a little bit harmful for us.
